When asked where he sees himself in 10-15 years, Ty stated, “Well into my career with a successful job and family.” One additional goal he would like to someday cross off his bucket list is to shoot a moose. Ty’s future plans are to attend Northeast Community College for two years and then study Wildlife Conservation at South Dakota State University for two years. If he could travel anywhere in the world, Ty stated he would go to any place that is peaceful and relaxing, with plenty to do. If Ty were ever fortunate enough to win the lottery, he said he would buy hunting ground and build a big house with a sweet man cave. You might also find him cheering on his favorite sports teams, the North Carolina Tar Heels and Nebraska Huskers. Ty said his favorite memory throughout high school has been all the crazy moments spent with his classmates. The movie Draft Day, song Yup by Easton Corbin, and Taco Bell are a few of Ty’s other favorites. His favorite subject in school has been physical education. Ty’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, trapping, and four wheeling. Aside from sports, Ty says his proudest high school accomplishment has simply been making it all the way to senior year. He was named First Team All-District in football, choosen to participate in the Northeast Classic All-Star football game, and has lettered in track and football. Ty has received several honors for his involvement. Throughout high school, Ty has been involved in football, track, and FFA for four years, and basketball for two years. The Pokorney family also has a yellow lab named Drake. Ty was also welcomed by older sister, Jayden, now 20, and later by younger brother, Cort, now 15. On May 7, 1997, John and Robin Pokorney welcomed home their first son, Tyrell Mervin Pokorney, in Columbus, Nebraska.
